Overview
DateSpend is a personal finance tracker for your dating life. We built it with privacy at the core: all of your data stays on your device. OYDL Labs does not have servers that store your partner or spending data.
Your dating and financial data never leaves your phone unless you choose to export it.
Data We Collect
Data You Enter (stored locally on your device only)
- Partner names or nicknames
- Expense amounts, categories, and dates
- App settings (currency, monthly budget, preferences)
This data is stored using AsyncStorage on your device. It is never transmitted to OYDL Labs or any third party.
Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
- Anonymous session events (app open, feature usage, session length)
- Crash reports and diagnostic data
- Device type and OS version
Analytics data does not include your financial or partner information. You can opt out via your device's privacy settings (Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising on iOS).
In-App Purchases
- DateSpend Pro subscription status is verified through Apple's App Store
- OYDL Labs does not store your payment or billing details — Apple handles all transactions
Advertising (Free Users)
- Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob
- AdMob may use device identifiers for ad personalization subject to your iOS privacy settings
- Pro subscribers see no ads
Biometric Authentication
If you enable App Lock, DateSpend uses Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to authenticate you when returning to the app. Biometric data is processed entirely by Apple's operating system and never accessed or stored by OYDL Labs.
Data Backup & Export
DateSpend includes a manual backup feature that exports your data as a JSON file to your device or a location of your choosing (e.g., iCloud Drive, Files app). This export is initiated solely by you. OYDL Labs does not receive this data.
Third-Party Services

Children's Privacy
DateSpend is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Your Rights
Since your personal data (partners, expenses) is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings, or by uninstalling the app. For analytics data managed by Firebase, you may request deletion by contacting us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
